The youth work is run alongside other churches in the town and has a major impact on many young lives. Here are a number of comments made by some of the Young People who attended the Youth Weekend Away recently. They'll help you get a flavour of what God is doing in them rather than telling you all about it...

 

“I had Tim tell me what God had said, I enjoyed the weekend overall…….Step out of the boat”.

 

“COME ON!! It’s been bang on. It’s Time.”

 

“For the first time I really felt able to sing out my praise for God, not caring about whether it sounded good or not. I also felt God speaking in a more obvious way. Thank you God! It'’ been such a great weekend to get closer to God. He gives you wings like angels"”

 

“I had a really good time my friends. The food is incredibly good. I’ve managed to make new friends and I feel I’ve properly met with God. I would definitely come again! I realised I never had to be afraid, I was, but I always had God, it just took me a while to realise it. I just think the people here are just so beautiful.”

 

“I enjoyed riding the horses. I had fun on the boats. Be still and listen. I had a banging time. Opened my eyes.”

 

 

“I had a feeling God just wanted us to have a good time with friends and himself. Tim had something for me……..God cares for me….and it means something.”

 

“This weekend away was amazing. I’ve enjoyed all the worship and I got quite close to God. It was a wonderful atmosphere and I don’t think it will be forgotten.”

 

“The talks and God slots were entertaining and encouraging. I had fun doing nearly everything!”
